Acceptable Use Policy

You may use Owntake to generate video content for personal entertainment, artistic projects, educational concepts, and commercial business applications, provided your media and prompts adhere to this acceptable use policy. Permitted activities include:

• Original imaginative concepts, animations, and cinematic stories generated from descriptive text prompts.

• Animating photos of yourself, your pets, or your own original creative illustrations.

• Animating photos of other real adults who have given you explicit, informed permission to process their likeness.

• Creating commercial marketing videos, product ads, and promotional social media posts using licensed assets.

You may not upload, submit, generate, or attempt to generate content that falls into any of the following categories:

• Minors: Depicting or animating anyone under 18 years of age. Any upload suspected of depicting minors is rejected immediately and reported to relevant authorities where legally required.

• Non-Consensual Likenesses: Creating animations, deepfakes, or videos of real individuals without their verifiable consent.

• Celebrities and Public Figures: Generating unauthorized synthetic depictions of politicians, celebrities, public figures, or well-known personalities.

• Sexually Explicit Material: Nudity, pornography, sexually suggestive poses, or adult sexual content.

• Harassment and Defamation: Generating content designed to harass, intimidate, demean, impersonate, or defame any individual, business, or group.

• Hate Speech and Violence: Promoting violence, hate speech, discrimination, self-harm, cruelty, or illegal weapons.

• Deceptive and Fraudulent Media: Producing synthetic media intended to mislead the public, spread misinformation, commit financial fraud, or falsify real-world events.

To enforce our acceptable use policy, every uploaded asset and text prompt is evaluated by automated screening tools prior to generation:

• Computer Vision Screening: Uploaded images are analyzed using automated image moderation models running on Cloudflare Workers AI. Images that detect nudity, minors, or dangerous material are rejected before they reach any video model.

• Automated Text Guardrails: Text prompts are reviewed against real-time safety guardrails to detect prohibited keywords, harmful instructions, or abusive requests.

• Zero Charge on Rejection: If an upload or prompt is rejected by our automated moderation check, your credits are not deducted.

These automated systems serve as an essential safeguard but do not relieve you of legal responsibility. You remain fully liable for any materials submitted through your account.

Compliance with this acceptable use policy is mandatory:

• Any generation request that deliberately bypasses safety filters or attempts to create prohibited material will result in immediate cancellation of the task.

• Accounts that repeatedly attempt to generate prohibited content will be permanently banned without notice, with forfeiture of any remaining credit balances.

• In cases involving illegal activity, child safety violations, or severe abuse, we cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies and comply with legal subpoenas.

If you discover a video generated with Owntake that you believe infringes your intellectual property, uses your likeness without permission, or violates this acceptable use policy, please report it immediately:

Our compliance team reviews all reports promptly and removes infringing or abusive content within 24 hours of verification.
