To provide our generative video platform, we collect the following categories of information:

• Account Information: If you register an account, we collect your email address and authentication details via one-time verification code or Google sign-in.

• Uploaded Media Assets: The photographs, video clips, and audio files you upload to initiate image to video, text to video, or effect workflows.

• Generated Video Outputs: The finished video files made by the model you pick.

• Billing and Transaction Records: Credit pack purchases, subscription statuses, and payment metadata managed by our payment processor, Stripe. We never store or handle your complete credit card numbers.

• Technical and Server Logs: Basic request logs (timestamps, requested URLs, status codes, and error diagnostics) used to maintain service reliability.

• Privacy-Friendly Analytics: Minimal aggregate event telemetry (pages viewed, generation success or failure status, downloads) used solely to identify platform errors. These logs do not contain user photos, IP addresses, or cross-site tracking cookies.

In accordance with our strict data retention standards, your data is retained under the following schedule:

• Uploaded Media: Uploaded images, video clips, and reference files are automatically deleted as soon as your generation job finishes or fails, and in all circumstances within 24 hours (including uploaded images that were never submitted for generation).

• Generated Videos: Rendered video files are kept in your user library for 30 days to allow download and review, after which they are permanently deleted from our storage servers. You can manually delete any video from your library at any time.

• Usage and Event Logs: Application telemetry logs are automatically scrubbed and permanently deleted after 180 days.

• Account and Billing Records: Account profile data and transactional invoices are retained as long as your account remains open, and for statutory durations required for tax, financial accounting, and legal audit compliance.

To maintain a secure and lawful creation environment, uploaded assets undergo automated safety verification prior to processing:

• Visual Moderation: Images are scanned using automated computer vision models (hosted on Cloudflare Workers AI) to detect and reject prohibited imagery, including child exploitation material, non-consensual depictions, and explicit adult nudity.

• Text Guardrails: Text prompts are reviewed by automated guardrails to prevent harmful, illegal, or abusive generation requests.

• Purpose: These automated checks are used solely to enforce our acceptable use policy and do not perform biometric identity recognition.

These are the services that handle your data when you use Owntake:

• AI Video Models: Your prompt, settings and photo are sent only to the model you pick (Kling by Kuaishou, Veo by Google, Seedance by ByteDance, Wan by Alibaba), which processes them to make your video.

• Free Generations: Free Wan 2.2 clips run on GPU capacity that Owntake operates. Your browser sends the photo and prompt to it directly, and the finished clip comes back to Owntake.

• Cloud Infrastructure & Storage: Cloudflare hosts our application, manages edge security, executes automated moderation, and provides temporary encrypted object storage.

• Payment Processing: Stripe securely handles payment transactions, credit card authorization, and subscription billing.

• Sign-in & Authentication: Managed authentication services process sign-in credentials.

We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal data to third parties or advertising brokers.

We maintain a minimal cookie policy:

• Essential Cookies: We utilize session cookies strictly necessary to maintain your signed-in state and associate guest generations with your browser.

• No Third-Party Advertising Trackers: We do not use third-party tracking pixels or behavioral advertising networks.

• Cookieless Analytics: We count page views and key events (such as sign-ups and purchases) with a cookieless, Plausible-compatible analytics script run by our infrastructure provider. It sets no cookies, does not follow you across other websites, and does not build behavioral profiles. We also log visits from known AI crawlers to see which pages they read.

You have complete control over your personal data:

• Self-Service Video Deletion: You can delete any individual video at any time from your account library. Deletion from our storage buckets is immediate and irreversible.

• Account Deletion Requests: To delete your account and all associated transactional records (subject to statutory tax retention rules), or to request an export of your stored data, email us at support@owntake.video. We fulfill all verifiable privacy requests within 30 days.
